Hello. Welcome back to my blog. It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me here at my blog. I won’t spend too much time on updating you, I’ll rather introduce you to some of our new projects and most recent activities.
Soon, a group of Mr. Greens are headed to Nigeria for 3 weeks to participate in the global UN campaign “Plant a Tree” and the annual national awareness day, “Children’s Day”.
And other developing projects are in process such as performance lectures in Saint Petersburg and New York and a collaborating project with the CO2 E-RACE @ The Roskilde Festival 2010. (http://www.co2erace.org/)
Stay tuned for more news and insights in our work and enjoy this brief resumé on the past months activities:
All the best
Mr. Green
1. At this very moment we are participating in the SUNRISE Climate Conference at RUC (Roskilde University Center). Pictures and more text are soon to be uploaded.

2. Friday the 16th we were also at RUC together with our friends from Karmakanonen. It was a great pleasure to be on the road again with the wonderful mobile sound system provided by Lux & Charlie. We look forward to more fun with them during the summer. Check teh out here and wish them a nice trip to Poland.

3. On April 8th I went to the PH-Café to see who would have the honor of being “The Idealist of the Year 2009″. Behind this initiative is the conservative internet newspaper 180grader and Cevea – an independent centre-left think tank that develops progressive ideas for a future Denmark based on freedom, fairness and community.

Among 12 others Frans Mikael Jansen, General Secretary from Mellemfolkelig Samvirke (MS), was nominated due to the progressive political MS campaign “The Climate Debt Agents”. It’s actually quite an honor for me, as Mr. Green, to see how our approach of communication with our green suits has inspired a large institution as MS to copy the visual identity of Mr. Green. And even get a Idealist of the Year nomination. I wonder what I am to do to be considered as an idealist? Do I have to make strong political statements and be politically active? Dress in red?
Or is it enough to simply be green?
Anyway, Mr. Jansen didn’t win. The winner was Søren Pind – liberal politician member af the Danish Parliament representing the party Venstre and former mayor of Copenhagen. And congratulations to Søren Pind!

I enjoyed this afternoon at the PH-Café as I curiously followed the after-talk/debate with former minister of finance, Mogens Lykketoft and CEO/Saxobank Lars Seier Christensen. It was interesting to have a brief analysis on the financial crisis we’re in from an economic perspective and the shared thoughts from both Mogens and Lars on how we are to save our ass in tiny Denmark before it’s too late. Lars provided us with concrete solutions to change the economic situation here and now, while Mogens spend his time on talking about the past and about what wouldn’t work with Lars’ suggestions. I found that rather annoying. Not that I wanted Mogens to agree on everything that Lars said, but at least Mogens could be somewhat more progressive and willing to negotiate and find a way out of the mud even though they have different opinions. Hey, we’re in this together Mr. Lykketoft!
Oh well, nevertheless it was all interesting and I even had a chance to talk to Lars and former Minister of Culture, Jytte Hilden. She is the Chairman of Cevea and she looked forward to get to know Mr. Green better in the future. I’m thinking about attending Cevea’s summer university camp in august to learn more about how to be more politically active. Maybe even give a performance lecture to the participants at the camp…
